House of Racquet is a modern padel club inspired by where the sport was born: 1960s Acapulco, Mexico, in the garden of a husband and wife.
What started as a game designed for friends, family and time together has become the world’s fastest-growing sport. Social by nature. Easy to try.
Built around connection.
We are bringing padel back to its roots. A place to play, stay, drink, connect and belong.
The Story
Padel began in 1960s Acapulco, Mexico, in the garden of a husband and wife: Enrique and Viviana Corcuera.
A Slim Aarons muse, Viviana is best known for her role in the origin of the sport, which she designed to fit their holiday home garden.
It was created as a sport built around connection. A game originally designed not for elite athletes, but for friends, family and neighbours to play together. A sport where the walls kept the ball in ‘to stop Enrique having to chase after them’, and the space around was used for socialising, eating and drinking after a game. Soon, their friends wanted their own courts, and well - the rest is history.
Padel started at home. House of Racquet is the modern evolution of that original idea. A place where the sport’s roots - play, connection, joy in the every day - meet the culture of a new generation.
A home for London’s creators, innovators and everyday players.

Located in the heart of Tileyard, we count Sony, Google, and Central Saint Martins as neighbours. You’re just as likely to share a court with a tech exec as an emerging artist - but inside the Clubhouse, titles are left at the door.
We run daily coaching, fitness classes and social leagues, alongside competitive tournaments and corporate events designed to bring teams together through play. Off court, our clubhouse hosts curated talks, cultural programming, community socials and private supper clubs, blending sport, art, music and conversation under one roof.
