House of Racquet was born out of a simple idea: Padel in the UK should be social, fun, and accessible. We fell in love with padel - not just for the game, but for the way it brings people together effortlessly.
We’ve spent time living and working in Bali, California and Cape Town - places where social sports scenes are thriving and it feels easy to make new and meaningful friendships, and live an active, healthy lifestyle. Returning to the UK was hard. We were reminded how difficult (and expensive) it can be to expand your social circle and find healthy, social activities before and after work. Nights out often revolve around the pub or expensive dinners. Traditional sports clubs often feel exclusive, expensive, or intimidating. Getting friends together requires booking something months in advance.
We wanted something different - a place where you can meet new people, have fun playing sport and build genuine connections, all without the barriers of a private members’ club or needing to align diaries 6 weeks in advance.
We know that people in the UK are craving a more active and healthy lifestyle and genuine human connection in inclusive, aesthetic environments. Whilst we can’t fix the weather, we can create spaces for people to meet beyond the pub.
